Two easy steps on processing the release of your card type drivers license:.

I processed the renewal of my non-professional drivers license, last December 20, 2017 and I was told that the card type license will be available between Febuary 2018. At the first week of Febuary 2018, I visited the new LTO office in JCentre Mall in Bakilid Mandaue City, however, it isn't available yet but they gave me a mobile number where I can make another follow up using SMS. And just last week, I texted the number and immediately got a response saying that I have to proceed to their office again and make anothe appoinment date for the release.

The steps are as follows:

1st Step: There is actually no priority number. Upon entering the office, you will instantly see a queue near the entrance. Just to be sure you may ask the guard on where to fall in line for the scheduling of the release of the card type license. Just prepare your paper type license.

2nd Step: If its already your turn, you will be told to write your name and signature in a logbook and above it shows the date of the release of the card type. You will then be given a form which you will fill in and you must submit it on the date of the release.

Note: Above photo is only a blank form and has to be fully filled in before submitting it on the day of the release of the card license. The date is stated on the upper right of the said form.

On the day of the released, you will bring the paper type license and the above form. In the event the form gets lost, it is just readily available in the office and it is Free of charge, just proceed to the PACD. However, if it's the paper type license that gets lost, you will be repeating the process of the renewal application. Its quite hassle if you lost the above requirements so keep it all safe as we know, we've been waiting long enough for the card type drivers license.

PACD

 I was also able to talk to the PACD (Public Assistance and Complaint Desk) that they will be using new printers and it'll take at least 8-10mins to encode one's data and they still have over 40,000 backlogs that needs to be done as soon as possible.

My scheduled release is 19June2018, its another roughly 4 months of waiting. And I guess we have no choice but to wait. We've all waited for it and let's just hope that No problems might arise in the process.

 Looking for a place for coffee on your day off? There are already alot of shops that are sprouting here and there. Check out these shops that is just a stone throw away from each other.  1 . Oxford coffee - located at the heart of Talamban, Cebu City. What I like here is that it isn't too crowded. They offer several variety of drinks, from teas; iced or hot teas (others are imported from UK) to non-coffee and good tasting coffee. Milk teas are also available. They even serve affordable pastas ranging from 140php and drinks from 80php- 150php. My favorite from the menu is the Spicy sausage pasta which you can either have it on white or red sauce and paired with refreshing cucumber cooler iced tea but today I had cafe Latte.
